LGV HGV Truck Driver - Class 2 (Cat C)

This licence covers any rigid goods vehicle. Test at our private test centre at Mansfield Woodhouse.

WELCOME TO THE ONLY DSA ACREDITED LGV TRAINING CENTRE IN NOTTS  LGV Class 2. Before you can get on with your LGV truck driver training you will need to hold a provisional Class 2 (CAT C)  licence.  The first job is to have a medical. If you are local (ish) to us you can have your medical at our training centre on a Saturday morning. The fee is £80. Please call to arrange. The forms you will need will be waiting for you when you arrive. If you are going to use your own doctor, ask us to send you the forms. Either way, the medical form, licence application and car licence will then go to Swansea for your provisional entitlement to be added. You will normally receive your Class 2 provisional licence within a few days; you should then call us to arrange your LGV theory training and test. The theory training takes place in our new climate controlled, purpose built training centre and your theory test will be arranged at a centre to suit you. The pass rate for those following this route is virtually 100%. We always suggest you go for our STARTER PACK which includes medical, theory training day, on-line theory training,  both theory tests all for just £260. Then you're ready for the practical - which is what you really want to do!  (Or study online only and save £90) At the same time you may wish to reserve dates for your truck driver training course. This will normally be arranged to start a couple of weeks after your theory test. The practical test will be on a Tuesday or Thursday and your training course will be organised to end with a test.

All our training is conducted on a 1 to 1 basis so you get individual tuition with no cab sharing as is the norm.

Practical HGV tests are taken at our own test centre at Mansfield Woodhouse. We have a large number of prebooked tests to minimise waiting time.

We operate 100% Iveco trucks - no old bangers!!! Infact, we probably operate the newest truck driver training fleet in the area. We had a new truck  May 07, another Dec 08  and another Jan 2012 completing our ongoing programme to ensure our trucks are always up to date.

All our instructors are DSA Reg HGV Instructors (strangely, this is not a legal requirement so just about anyone can buy an old truck and stick L plates on it) and Pete himself has been in the industry for well over 30 years.  We are all fully committed to your success.
